Ah yes, but that's a different thread...

But in this vein: did you know that David Attenborough can't drive?

This has turned out to be a very interesting thread. A lot more difficult to respond to than 'Unusual things I've done' (which has surely got to be the sequel...)

I spent a while sifting through fading memories and failing miserably to come up with anything ordinary that I haven't done and trying to decide if that made me more boring or more interesting.

Couldn't come up with the answer to that either.

I've never done an Excel spreadsheet.
I've never waxed my legs.
I've never had a perm.
I've never watched Brief Encounter.
I've done all of the above, except the perm (though I have dyed my hair and beard - it was supposed to be dark brown, but turned out bright purple. Had to shave off the beard and wash my hair three times a day for three weeks.)

But I've never had (or rather 'finished') a cup of tea.

I never finished a plate of CH porridge. Is that ordinary?

(On my first morning, I ordered porridge, seeing I'd always had it at home. This was one of the culture shocks of my first few days. From then on I had (like most people) "milk and sugar only". About 6 years later I thought to myself: "It WAS my first breakfast here, and in any case things may have improved." So I tried the porridge again. Things hadn't improved.)
