Sarah's books for Human Genetics were £120, but she got them for £80 by buying in bulk - however , these are the ESSENTIAL books for THIS year only, the others she gets out of the library. And next year is another matter indeed!
Some of my degree books were £80 each and that was in 1992-95! Mind you I am glad I wasn't a student student, (I was a mture one, with kids and my own home!) as lugging those around campus would not have been amusing - especially as Sarah lives over 2 miles from the main campus of Leeds! I think students should be allowed granny trolleys to carry their books!

i never actually needed my text books in lectures, i just used them at home, but when i was doing my dissertation i had to make two trips home with the books i took out!
I must admit doing my english half of degree i liked buying the books and reading the as it made my booke collection look incredibly exspanse

I just love books pretty much - they sort of overtake the house in places - I am thinking of having a complete book case the length of the living room which will use some useless space..... costly though!

Then there is Lined - as opposed to Amy's Ligned....blondie95 wrote:the shelf at the top of the wardrobe at my parents is ligned double with booksfrom by degree-to me that shows my degree not the piece of a paper that i got given.
booksfrom by degree.... ? books from MY degree??
OK Amy - you're tired, it's the end of the day when you post - we all do bloopers in our posts - but this last one needs re-writing completely!
The shelp a the top of the wardrobe at my parents home, is double lined with books from my degree. To me, that shows my degree (ie the number of books - hopefully all read!) not the piece of paper I recieved at graduation.
how did I do?
