dance
(AArrggh... remember those Founder's Day Dances, when we were allowed to wear our own 'frocks' and dance with each other, and to sign up to a dance with a teacher, provided you could mark her card????? And the orchestra was Miss King, and MIss Barrett on violins - scratchy, squeaky..!!)

oh Ann... I do remember the frock - well, mine, anyway. It was a pink confection, but I have no recollection as to the year... whether I was still a Junior in 5's, or a Senior in 2's.....All I can recall is the huge excitement of having the dress delivered .... maybe on a Long Sat? ... and it sitting on a hanger somewhere until I was ready to wear it at this glorious student/staff - all female - Dance!
