Hey, thanks for the support.
It is a stunning album but more than that it kept me sane during my juniors, which I consider to be more important.

Graceland : an influential album, introduced Ladysmith Black Mambazo to the big wide world, drew people's attention to 'world' music, etc.
I'm with huntertitus on this one, though. I find the whole thing a bit insipid. I was working in a record shop when the L.P. came out, so having had to listen to the bl*ody thing about twice a day for what seemed like months has probably coloured my opinion.

I was lucky enough to see the Graceland Tour at the Royal Albert Hall.
Absolutely awesome live.
You've just gone up in my estimation Ruthiebaby and Hendrik

I was too young for that. I've got the video somewhere, actually, hmm, never watched it...
I saw Paul Simon tour the slightly less popular album You're The One a few years ago at Hammersmith. Was great but a bit overdone (anyone really need 3 full kits and 2 percussionists?)

Missed that one much to Mrs Mid A's annoyance

Saw Simon and Garfunkel in Hyde Park last year though which was great

Why not Richard ?
A. Eagle was my first house-master at C.H. in Prep B ! Seemed OK to me.

Ho ho ho!
I take it he didn't inflict a load of whiney country-rock albums on the world, though!
