I know - Chris had to stop playing rugby as he was too tall and kept being put into the scrum and it started giving him really bad backache - the Doc at CH said he wasn't allowed to play anymore.
Mind you - I am probably the worst spectator at a rugby match - I get quite frustrated with the ref, the players and the linesmen! I dare not go to another Bath v Harlequinns - i might get expelled!!

The worst thing I remember about scrums was when someone broke wind. You try getting away fast! It is damn near impossible. Yuck

I don't think I will ever forget that description.
Btw, has anyone here ever encountered that flower in India or somewhere like it. The one that is the largest flower in the world, flowers on once in 20 years or so and stinks to high heaven? It is just that I have always wondered if it is bad as the books say it is.

the corpse flower, yes it is, I saw it at Kew once. Absolutely disgusting

As I remember from the books, it wasn't that great to look at. What is it like close up ( smell excepted)

It is pretty spectacular, 7-10 feet tall, like a great big lily if I remember. Not very attactive tho'
