Enough - we are supposed to be debating about seriously dubious PC terminology....
I remember my Grannie bringing me a beautiful black doll back from her time I think it was in the Carribean.. she had a golden earing in one ear (I never really understood the significance of that).. but I wasn't allowed it at home - (Sussex) so it had to stay in Mousehole (Cornwall) I wonder where it is now? How would I correctly describe her?
Same goes for collecting golliwogs off jam jars - I used to collect like crazy to either get a badge or a golliwog model... That's not allowed anymore...
In that theme then surely the Simpsons on tv are non Pc as Lisa has golliwog hair, they are all bright yellow, and Marge has very blue hair....

If you watch enough US TV, you will see that they are anything but politically correct. Just watch one episode of WWE and you will see exactly what I mean.

I don't see the point in so called sports such as wretling and boxing - I hate seeing people beat up others in competition.. but perhaps that's because I saw enough of it as a nurse earlier in life...

I find a big difference between the professional and the amateur versionof these sports.
The amateur version (especially in wrestling) often appears to be more of a sport than the proffesional version.

I always thought the idea of sport was to get rid of pent up agression and to learn to work as a team

well why not run until you are out of breath - or in your case wheel yourself until you can't go any further? beating up people in the name of sport just isn't nice - yet I adore rugby - and it is a contact sport - but they don't go bashing eachother up deliberately - or they get sent off!
