I'm not really surprised - when you compare the same document in English (you must do ....... immediately), Spanish (when you have a spare moment in a few years time you could consider........) and French ( you should do ....... but we realise you might not get round to it anytime soon

Around here Welsh is VERY much a living language. Mine is pretty basic, I understand a lot more than I can say. I cannot teach in the area as I don't have a written qualification in Welsh, but hey I'm having a better life not taking work home with me!!

and I thought the catalans were a sectarian, chauvinistic lot....let's make the obligatorty EU language swahili - it would make no difference whatever to the comprehensibility of EU directives, and might look better...
