No. Why limit it to "credible allegations"?

Who decided they were credible?

We need to know all employees now dead who have had allegations made against them.

Richard, is that likely to happen?
The police have enthusiastically traduced the reputations of high profile deceased people like Heath by leaking stories, but what information about such investigations is publicly disclosable?

That's more likely to be disclosed by the school than the police.

The police don't have a policy of releasing the names of people they haven't investigated

Unlikely that the school is going to make such disclosures. Why would they?

I wouldnt propose to put my answer on public view so the school can read it.

But why wouldn't they? If it can be done in the right way.

A possible press threat could work well in our favour. The school obviously know now what a slippery tight rope they are treading.

As a lawyer Richard, you cannot seriously expect the school to answer those questions, can you? How would you advise a client that faces civil litigation to respond to such a letter?

The choice is the Schools, Yamaha.

They can do the right thing and respond, or they can totally ignore it thereby allowing those of us that are asking the questions to step things up a gear or two.

Don't get me wrong JR, I'm as nosy as you. However, from the point of view of the CH governors the "right thing" is to ensure the school's survival.

I think it entirely possible there could be some very uncomfortable press analysis once all the sentences are in.

Indeed some of you may have seen a twitter proposition to a well known investigative journalist along these lines already. With its photogenic appeal, charitable intentions and a general feeling that religious foundations have been up to no good (Sisters of Mercy, et al), it would make an easy subject for a TV programme.

Sadly, CH might be tainted by the appalling statistic of 25+ children defiled by 5 (and counting) teachers for some time to come. 'A school like no other' indeed.

a propos paras 2, 5 and 9 re references, I would be tempted to ask for the actual texts, and who signed them.

The issue about other allegations is important. We know the history teacher with a jag left unexpectedly and it was widely discussed at the time as to why - where is he in the story, and who let him INTO the school if they knew he was on his last chance?

Does anyone have a list of staff who left mid-year in the relevant period?
