Could be,there aren't many of us, but you'll have to give me a bit more of a clue, like their first name and where they lived :o

Hi all, not sure how public eye this is but for those of you at CH in the 60's (well 63 to 71) may well remember my brother Malcolm and I from Coleridge A? Malc left in '70 as House Captain & Drummer in the Band and I left in '71, also House Captain, Malcolm is now Head Chef at Housey, and has been there for 2 years now - what a great excuse to revisit!

The mother was called Beryl, and the son, Graham, they lived in Summerdown Road, Eastbourne.

I do remember someone who shall remain nameless making the front page of the Sunday Mirror in 1974
British Beauty in Spanish jail ordeal
It gave me quite a shock I can tell you.

I think her profile is a little lower now.

Not guilty - none of my clan down that way, I'm afraid

Hi Ray,

I met up with you, Malcolm and Nigel Siddall over by the 1st X1 cricket pitch on my last visit to CH. I remember you as being a pretty useful sprinter at school.

Hope all is well with both you and Malcolm.

I am afraid I don't. I was living in Fleetwood doing a summer job at the time, with my boyfriend, and had popped out to get the Sunday papers. I shot back to our flat faster than I had ambled out I can tell you.

Ah well, never mind -would have been something to show the grandchildren.... particularly as none of the rest was documented, and I cant talk/write about it because too many people still alive....!

I just remember the headline, I don't remember what it was about.

I had other things on my mind. 8)

Earlier someone asked whether Housie has ever produced an England rugby player? Admittedly some time ago, but during my time (1948-55) a mster named WPC Davies played for England and another master, Norman(?) Fryer, either played for or had a trial for Wales.

Norman T Fryer played for Harlequins too

Very sad end to his story can be found elsewhere on this forum

Someone called Silk had cricket and rugby Englands caps, allegedly.

Kit Aitken (Housemaster, Col A) also played for Harlequins.
