In my day, the 70s, dais food was MUCH better than the ordinary fare. I know as I was lucky enough to be a button Grecian in my last year and so had the pleasure of eating with Newsome. Seem to remember that I kept over to the corners, as far away from him as possible! I remember one April Fool's day when some wag covered up the Grace in the pulpit. Luckily I wasn't called on to read Grace that day.
