I have just been informed that since Blackberry is a trade name it is probably perfectly correct to just add an 's' for the plural! Not being a technical person, I wouldn't know!

blackberry's is a way you can spell it since its a trade name.

secondly, i guess times have changed, its common for a lot of people my age to have a blackberry and it's my parents choice really if they want to get me one

lonelymom had said that DS stood for Dear son, and I said it was darling.

I reckoned 11 was too young as children should still be under parents supervision. By 16 (thatgirl is going into Deps) people are out and about on their own.

In answer to the first question, i am not aware of any phone being banned at all. The use of phones is monitored and when it is used inappropriately (ie in class, after lights out etc) then the pupil could expect them to be confiscated for a while. However, if they are used in accordance with school rules then you can have whatever phone you like. Many students have iphones, balckberries etc. Remember that EMA is paid to 45% of all 6th formers - this is up to £120 a month tax free. The children with low income families are ironically the wealthest children in terms of 'pocket money' in the school!!
