Hey, this really sounds ghastly. Wonder how you are today? You won't go out in the snow now will you John?

Isn't it quiet without those lovely big red capitals and extreme print sizes!! Wouldn't know you if I ran over you JR, (not that I would, you understand), but missing you nonetheless! Get well soon!

Still not getting on here as much as I'd like.

Supposed to be seeing surgeon tomorrow morning to have dressings taken off, but weather might be against me as youngest daughter will NOT drive if icy and snowy.

YES - I have had to go out in it once or twice over the last 3 days - GINGERLY !

Youngest daughter very wise....you should also take care. I didn't go to work until lunchtime on Monday - not because I was fearful about driving in untreated snow (though others reported horror stories) but because I couldn't face walking (i.e. hobbling) from the house to the car and was fearful of falling. If I fall I can't get up again (and also might break something) - so you take care JR. And if it's snowy and icy tomorrow, allow younger daughter to decline to take you. Another day or so won't make much difference and the surgeon (or his/her team) will have to accommodate you on another day.

I went out of my way completly to get to work on Monday so i could go down the main treated roads-i then left at 1:30pm when it got heavy again! Worked from home yesterday and gingerly went out this morning. The Tesco man did very nearly land on his backside on my drive bringing my shopping!! :)
So JR i personally say listen to your daughter

We got to the East Surrey Hospital safely yesterday. All the packaging was removed, and the surgeons registra is very pleased with the results. I have had my night-time splint made.

I may have a slightly abnormal looking elbow for life after they encountered more serious problems than expected during the operation. I'm sporting a deep 4" scar, but hopefully, I'll be able to dine (drink) out on that for ages.

I have had a couple of days feeling under the weather and have been really sleepy, but seem to be getting on top again.

Looks like no footy tomorrow, so another day of warmth rest and TV looms ! Must remember to send 'Er Indoors to the Offy !

A bit belatedly, welcome back - I guess all the local publicans were saying the same thing.

I also got caught in the snow - in Gloucestershire but made up for it by spending hours in an outdoor jacuzzi with a collection of a friend's female acquaintances! I kept sneezing as the snow fell on my nose.

Back home now, - just got my other half from hospital where she was copying Gerrie. Unfortunately she is not spring cleaning!

I saw the knife-weilder this morning. All is well. All dressings now off, and waiting for all the scabs and remaining disolveable sutures to drop out.

Must admit, it don't look very pretty.

Physio starts again next week.

Hi JR,
Now that you are back fom the Casualty Clearing Station, I have a problem which I am sure you can solve ---
Recently, I have been trawling through my, late, Mother's Archives and lo,-- there are some CH photos.
One of Barnes B, in about 1945, would seem to be of intrest to the OBs of that era.
NOW --- How do I get it on to the Forum ? I seem to remember there was a Topic on "Photos" but I can't seem to find it on CH Chat.
I have a scanner, so no problem there, but can it be Emailed, as an attatchment, and if so to whom ?
HELP !
