The Open is not the interview day. They will first of all sift through the applications and pick the best. Those that make the first cut are called to interview. From there, you will be wittled down to the number they are looking for. No idea how many but probably about 25 or so. So far as need is concerned, this factor is less significant at 6th form level where the need is often less acute than it might be at 11. You just need to be bright and able to add to the extra-curricular life of the school.

Good luck and if you do apply for Philosophy and get an interview, it is likely that we will meet!

Hehe, that would be strange... oh I'm so nervous! I really want to get in, but I suppose everyone does... well of course or they wouldn't apply.
Even if I don't get in I would have seen around the school and know where my friends are talking about!

I was working at school in the art dept last week and there was an open day on the Saturday just gone, the 27th. They all seemed to be very young. Is this one just for prospective new deps?

I think that one must have been for potential year 7's, hopefully not deps or I will have missed it!
