Just saw the ten second glimpse of the Band at the Lord Mayor's Show behind those Cutlers on the BBC and nearly deafened my husband in my squeal of delight of "That's my School!". Sadly only a brief glimpse for us this year - KES Witley got more time than us (Bah Humbug - and they had the same float as they have every year). Anyway - I was very proud. But it hasn't stopped me from writing in to the Beeb to gurn about the poor broadcasting this year. The sound and commentary were terrible.

I missed most of it and when I did turn it on, I'm afraid I had to turn it off again.
There is just SOMETHING about Claire Balding I cannot stand !
I know she plays hockey for the other side and I don't have a problem with that at all - It's just something about her presentation that nauseates me.
Hopefully, it'll be Fiona next year !

Very disppointed. Completely missed the band on the show this morning and wanted to show the girls. I must have blinked when we were shown. Was all ready to get worked up into a stinking rage because we weren't leading. Moan, moan, grumble, grumble etc. The sound broadcasting was a little off the mark - S Paul's choristers + roadsweeper made for an interesting duet.

why couldn't they just simply show the procession move off following it round that corner so that every group gets shown rather than picking and jumping around, I was watching early on for Oundle School's band as that was Dad's last school but they totally skipped them. Went to the one behind then back to the one that was two in front, i couldn't wait for CH and from sounds of it would have missed it!
