the obvious is never visable!
Julian - I think pruning is really going to be the answer, as there are only 5 of us on, and I am having the time of my life getting the db to load...
Sorry !!
It did speed up for a while though!

a bit erratic still - but is that the forum or the internet in general?
I sometimes have to wait ages for pages to refresh and at other times it`s instant.

just blame it on the aliens!
(home joke from Leeds - apparently one building looks as though it literally just fell from space and landed there, and is gradually being re-painted etc... strangely it doesn't have an floors lower than 4 [the guess is that this is the engine section] anyhow, anything that goes wrong in Leeds Uni is blamed on the aliens.....) so just taking the cue!

Problem because it wasn't there before! It was globally set for some reason, and couldn't be set by each user.
