Seems that Brenda herself is going to be in Windsor, though (according to the item on the C.H. website....).
Who's Brenda?

Obviously not many of us do! I got lost in the thought of actually getting in on a thing before the date has past - I will set teh dvd to record teh momentous occaision - I might post it up if it's any good (nope I won't as I can't as I don't have the dvd driver crap that I need to do that - however, once I have it on DVD - if anyone wants to borrow it or wants me to copy it onto another dvd will be happy to do so..... just hope the good old BBC live up to our expectations!

Jude, if you do manage to record the Band today, I would love to have a copy - I don't think it will be shown on BBC world, and Ma is getting back to Haslemere today too late to bung a cassette in the VCR.

Not sure what programme - but will surely be on the news?
There was also a short interview on BBC southern Counties Radio this morning - 3 pupils and Mary Ireland talking about the day.

It seems most of the media presence is centred on Windsor and not Buck House...

Yup - the Beeb have a programme on at 12 noon - I think Brenda's doing some sort of walkabout at Windsor, and the BBC are shoving Sophie Raworth into a posh frock and hat to commentate on the regal grinning and hand-shaking, and, presumably, to interview a few mad people who have been camping on the pavement since last August and some American tourists gushing "Oh my gaaahd I wish she was ours".

Seems odd having a parade in London when she's not going to be there!

The poor woman would probably prefer to have a bit of a knees-up with friends and family (H.M., that is, not Sophie Raworth).

the knees-up is in the evening at Kew Palace, hosted by Bat-Ears and his Horse

TV coverage is intensely dull - the Yank tourist has just been wheeled out (made the trip over specially!), lots of forelock-tugging going on, some old actress from Eastenders putting in an appearance, Rolf Harris, etc.

I've nothing at all against Brenda and Phil, but I always find the BBC coverage of these things a bit forced - let's face it, there's nothing much new to be said, is there?

And apparently some nutter DID kip on the pavement!

Good to see so many monarchists on the forum given that we nearly all attended a Royal, Religious, Ancient Foundation

No coverage at all of the London parade.

Looks like the band had to dodge the horse-droppings unseen by the world....
