Well, you can Swap your Mobile... for a Tree or you can send it away to be recycled. You can use Green Cleaning products and (please, please) re-use carrier bags.

You can give used carrier bags to the nearest Charity shop that doesn't waste money by buying in logo'd bags.

tesco and sainsbury's do 'bag for life'. you pay 10p for a really sturdy carrier (which also cuts into the hands much less), it lasts pretty much forever. and when it breaks they give you a new one for free!

in fact, Waitrose were the FIRST supermarket to introduce the bag for life

ok, all worthit shops do bags for life.
if, like me, you have ancient cooking hobs that continue to be very hot 20-30mins after you turn them off, put saucepans of water on them. the saucepans will preheat the water, allowing it to boil in a a kettle in a jiffy or be used for washing up after the meal.
the other neat thing is that it cools down the hobs quicker and covers them, making it much more safe for tiny, prying fingers (if your household has any).
