Markers'
Markers' Medals... as presented to older pupils for teaching the catechism to younger pupils. These are solid silver, with the recipient's name engraved on the rim. On the front there is the bust of King Edward VI and on the back an open Bible, with the words 'Read, Mark, Learn'. The design was by Lewis Pingo, son of the founder of the Royal Mint. They ceased to be issued around the time the London school moved to Horsham. There is one on eBay today, standing at 10.99 this evening, although they usually go for around £60.......
