Um Hello

If anyone remebers my brief appearance a couple of months ago, I'm pleased to say all that bother paid off. I got a letter two days ago from CH saying I'd been given a conditional place but they'd need to talk to my doctor regarding health arrangements. All this now depends on really is my results and whether or not it is a financially viable proposition.

As for my absence- well I was only getting my hopes up about something that seemed impossible, so I did not want to encouage myself by hanging around with all the lovely people here. Apologies for the cutting off of contact. It was not very nice.

So how are things?

Aw thanks everyone
revision's not going too bad but I cannot stop being ill.
Summer term started last Tuesday and I've only been in for 2 days and they weren't consecutive either.
Anyways 12 days left till study leave and exams begin!
Any summery tips for a stress free holiday to give away?
Hope everyone's well!

Stress will not help you! Decide how many days you can be sick and then 'give yourself permission' to be sick for that amount of time; you'll relax. get well, feel refreshed and then study well because you will have factored in the requisite study time and exam prep time. If you spend all your time being sick and then thinking about what you can't achieve by the time that you are well you'll stress out out beyond human parameters to contain! Is a good trick because it allows you to focus on how much time you need to prep and then allocate the balance to feeling fully unwell and wallowing in it! :drinkers: (Is cough medicine, not Guinness, honest!!)

Well, Alan, I for one (as presumptuous as this may be due to my 'newbie' status on this forum) enjoy the 'scenic route' and have found this thread thoroughly entertaining and at times absolutely hilarious, and I still have more than 70 pages to wade through... have now started working backwards due to my impatient nature. :D

Well done Gemmy for kicking it off. Hope all is going well with you and you're taking Gerrie's very sound - and extraordinarily sensible - advice!
