Well, I'm ill. I'm at home. I'm missing CH and all the people there. I'm bored. I can't get on the webmail so I can't write my essay. My laptop's dead. I've lost a thousand words of the saga.

Hope you're all fine though!

Poor you, Josh. Am sure you will be back in the thick of it very soon.....get well quickly! Can you remember your 1,000 words which you have lost...or will you have to get creative again?

No, they were some unexplored territory except for some very early sketches, but I do remember what happened in them, even if it is only histories. There is one good thing to this: L.S. is like facial hair - every time it gets cut back, it grows thicker and faster!!!

As a few brief statistics:

Contains:
14 CH People in the form of:
- 1 Eagle
- 1 Sword
- 1 Troll-Horde Captain
- 12 Men (and women)
3 Locations in and around CH in disguise, as well as one former location

Inspiration taken chiefly from:
Eahic Literature (particularly tCoH)
The Bible
The Chronicles of Narnia
Star Wars (without realising!!)
Real Life
CH

Distribution and Format

When finished, it will be available to buy via http://www.lulu.com as a hardback book measuring 6x9", in black and white with a full colour dustcover, costing approximately £9.50. Lulu will take 20% of the price to cover costs, and I will get the other 80%, to be split (in an as of yet undefined ratio) between myself and the illustrators. This will mean, however, that some people, such as those in it, can get copies at discount of up to 80% off.

Features
A map of The World of Men, an Index, and various other Appendixy things. Like the stuff you find at the back of LotR. There may also be a list of the unnofficial soundtrack, which goes well with the story.

PS. I'm not telling you what the CH references are; you'll have to find out!
PPS. Not yet, anyway.

I really hate to say this Josh, but back-up onto a memory stick only takes a few seconds.

Hope you're feeling a bit better now though !

Are you back at school yet, Josh? Can you afford a memory stick? If not I am sure members of the Forum would be pleased to chip (ha ha) in....?!
Seriously, hope you are soon recovered.

This thread is in serious danger of drowning. Thus I am shamelessly a) bumping it; and b) plugging the Saga.

I've breached 10k words now, and have written THE CHEESIEST wedding scene for the end of the book. I almost threw up whilst writing it, it's that bad. As an example:

"Llanwyd released his grip on [Luscina's] hands and threw his arms around her. He kissed her long and tenderly"

and it goes on in the same vein. But it's quite sweet too, if I may say so myself.

I've no idea who that is, John, but I'll take it as a compliment.
