It's certain that Simon is right,
The punctuation is all up the spout...
If you simply click Edit
You'll be able to change it
And put all of the errors aright....
(get with the program Simon!)

Oh dear!
Ban beer
For those
Using prose.
Ruck
Stuck!
Simon
Why, man,
Break rules?
Damn fools!

Come, Dave, don't be harsh with JT
I think he was trying. you see,
Perhaps in his classes
He didn't get passes
And that's why his style is so free.

Oh dear, I've just realised
That my last post was not well advised,
For as to the rhyming
Dave was referring to Simon.
I suppose I'll be rightly chastised.

Oh dear, it has been a time,
since someone last left a rhyme,
but here comes Nyort,
who'll give you one of the sort,
that isn't even worth half a dime.
OK, that was bad...

Might I gently suggest a change in the above:
So Simon is right without doubt
Punctuation is all up the spout
But if you click edit
I think you will get it
And put all the errors to right.
RR - great stuff! And I'm glad to see newcomers to the thread!

re single sex schools

A single sex school is OK
If you're not behind walls shut away
There are fewer distractions
And hormone reactions
And then after school you can play.
But if during most of a year
Boys and girls are apart then I fear
Their social lives fail
Just as if they're in jail
And their confidence may disappear.

Of this topic you write with such zest
('Tho the scansion is not of your best)
But the sexual direction
For mating selection
Comes best when the girls are caressed.

Hello, Dave, and thanks for your note
On taking a dump when afloat,
And how it’s a blunder
When having to chunder
To spray one’s lunch back in the boat
It seems it’s considered ungrateful
And, etiquette-wise, quite disgraceful
If, careless and silly
When pointing one’s willy
Into wind, the crew all cop a face full.

RR
What a wonderful ditty you wrote
About proper peeing afloat.
Just dump in the bucket
And then you can chuck it
To loo'ard - and keep a clean boat

Huntertitus pleads guilty to digging
(No doubt he deserves a good wigging)
For what is not clear
Though it does appear
Emma Jane to his club goes a-winging

From Squit to a Grecian she wents
In one day before even was spents
Fifty times in one night
Would give me a fright
But a hundred, dear Emma,'s immense!

Meter 2 out of 10
Rhyme 1 out of 10
I said d*gging - the joke was in the "O" - do mor research
and send me the essay in the morning.
I didnt plead guilty to anything
I don't need a wig
And you are jealous of what you imagine
WE ARE PLAYING ABOUT!
CAN'T YOU SEE?

Your metre is worse Huntertee
Than anything written by me
For here on this thread
There is nothing said
Save in verse which it's plain you don't see.
See previous poetic self-punishments above.
