Stroppy daughters are worth a thread all on their ownenglishangel wrote:Sean, get a little punching bag or cushion for when teenage daughter plays up.
I have one like that. she had a bamboo cane for something and she wound me up so tight I broke it acroos my knee, when she asked why I told her it was the cane or her neck.
She also went off on one last night. After work I had taken one son to evening class (10 miles each way) collected another from a friend's (3 miles each way) taken daughter to drama class (4 1/2 miles each way) collected first son from evening class (10 miles each way again, he was supposed to ask the lecturer who lives round the corner if he could car share but had got sidetracked by a beautiful Moroccan girl who is teaching him Arabic!!!) went to pick up daughter from drama (4 1/2 miles each way) and because her brothers were in the car she refused to get in and took off marching up the road. I kerb-crawled after her for about 1/2 mile but it was getting dangerous so I drove off (first son and I had not eaten and it was after 10 o'clock by now). Dropped sons at home and returned for daughter (3 miles each way,she is a fast walker) she got in the car with no comment.
What is murder of a daughter called?

Normally my daughter is an angel but the argument involved that walking puss ball of a boyfriend of hers. I dont get involved at all about her boyfriend normally. Last night he ran off and left her to stand alone against six girls who were out for his blood. My daughter got a thumping and I went for him in a massive way. My daughter thought I was unfair to have a go at him for leaving her.

wouldn't get involved myself but you have to wonder why six girls were angry at him...soc wrote:Normally my daughter is an angel but the argument involved that walking puss ball of a boyfriend of hers. I think the moral of the story is that Daddy has to step back completely now

as the father of (3) daughters I find I walk a difficult tightrope between not getting involved and then being accused of not being interested and trying to help and then being told I should mind my own business.
Sometimes I get it right (
If it's any consolation mate we've all been there. I'm sure JR would post similar as he has 2 girls.
