Does anyone here use Stumble Upon, its awesome but also quite possibly designed by Satan himself. It's a special toolbar that finds websites it thinks you'll like. You just fill out a little questionaire and then either give sites it finds you a thumbs up or thumbs down.

http://www.stumbleupon.com/ WARNING DO NOT DOWNLOAD IF YOU EVER WANT TO WORK AGAIN

Anyone who remembers Miss Mercer's logic classes should like this one:

Hi Mary,

I certainly do remember Miss Mercer's Logic lessons. I've forgotten what those little triplets were called ..some of them were tautologies ?? After the whole class got grade A for logic at "O" level didn't you continue on and do A level ? I tried but it was too hard.

Received from a friend from my junior school days

Yes John but, if you remember, Rainbow was one of the shows I worked on.
We used to have great fun with the scripts, trying to slip things with double meanings past the powers that be.
One of my favourites was during a Xmas script when Cinderella is asked to the Prince's soiree and we got the immortal line
"Goodness me, the Prince's balls get bigger every year !"
haven't checked out the web-site yet, so perhaps it's on there.

Syllogisms. Miss Mercer taught O level logic to the lower sixth, who took the exam after one year. I don't remember whether it was optional or whether the whole year did it. Our year was the first where some of us did A level instead - we all passed. D.R. didn't really approve - I think she thought we were showing off. I certainly was.

I wish I'd kept my notes - the only thing I really remember is the syllogisms. I think the poor penguin has fallen into the fallacy of an undistributed middle term.

I picked this up because I have a Google alert for Old Blue and Christ's Hospital. It occasionally gives me early warning of matters useful for the OBM.

If you magnify the photo you will be even more amazed that he got the spelling incorrect.
