Those schoolbags! One day I skewered myself in the leg when a loose pair of compasses protruded - ow!

I thought they were dreadful scruffy unsmart things at the time. At junior school, I'd had a splendid polished leather satchel. But, strange - now I have a jute shopping bag that's a slightly smaller version of the schoolbag!

In the V1 Form, you bustled about holding books at under-bosom level, stacking textbooks on top of your subject's red file. This seemed very Senior!

Well that of course depended on your bosom. If you want to know why I made that comment you only have to look at the "Carol service 2007" thread on the CHA discussion forum.

BTW I know another attendee will be Julie Howlett with whom I shared a cubie and came in one night to find her in the lotus position in the middle of her desk, very fair skin an black hair and she scared the living daylights out of me.

Well, I admit that my V1 Form books were held at waist level   It was an ecstatic moment to wake up in Recovery, albeit with all sorts of technology protruding, and know that that bosom had been resculpted to a shape more elegant!

These girls having huge implants - they should know what a weight they will be carrying around, how hot and bothersome a giant bosom can be! (Sorry, personal opinion of course.) I was impressed that the famous Trinny did a day-as-an-E cup on her show recently and was only too pleased to shed her fake bosom at the end of it!

It seemed a bit strange that CH required us to provide a suspender belt of our own, but be strict about bras of school issue only. Maybe it was the cost? I can visualise that white broderie anglaise bra right now, and remember somebody's Forum revelation that they were fitted with one by their Housemistress standing behind them assessing the cup size with both hands - oh no! No! Too horrible!

I'm so looking forward to seeing any items of our uniform at the Museum! (Assumes earnest voice of pyschobabble) Now I can achieve Closure!

Oh Munch, how I agree. Boys used to sing "the Hills are alive" when I wore a T-shirt. My younger sister only reached a B cup when she was breasfeeding.

Our daughters are the reverse, mine is like a twig, a shapely twig and obviously female but a twig nonetheless, hers has just had to buy a Jordan sized bra at 15.

I've enjoyed following this thread and seeing all the arrangements gradually come together.

It sounds like you all have an enjoyable, memorable weekend to look forward to and I really hope it all goes off well!

Somewhere on the Forum there is an account of my being measured by SWMBO for bras as I was well endowed and could not fit into the school issue. I don't want to face that memory just now   and haven't got time to search for it!

Well, guess where I've been today? Some of my year who aren't staying for dinner have suggested meeting for lunch, so I popped over to Hertford to recce a few restaurants. Also, mindful of Kerren's warning about car parking, to check out the best car parks. (I failed dismally on the second one, and ended up in a short stay which sufficed for today, but won't do for 5th April - the multi-storey in Gascoyne Way really looks the best bet). Oh and by the way, Cafe Rouge is near where Christine's used to be - in fact it might even be Christine's.

Although I've been back before, it was weird being there again, and it was the first time I've really been into town since I left. My other half came too, and I was surprised that he was very impressed with the school site. He kept saying "I know what you say about the regime, but the actual school would have been a very pleasant place to be". And I looked at again with new eyes and thought "you know, he's right". It's so weird with it not being a school any more though, and with the school block and science block demolished, and the field and all the buildings round it gone. But you don't see that as you walk through the gates into the square; initially it looks exactly the same, and all the memories came flooding back.

He took a number of photos on his mobile phone (so not great quality) - I won't post them on here because some people might prefer to wait until next month to see the real thing. But if you would like to see some of them, let me know and I'll email them.

Now looking forward even more to re-exploring with people who share the same memories and won't need the running commentary I inflicted on poor old Chris today
