At this moment in time the poll is running :
83% - Yes
16% - No

Looks like an 83% prune would be just right....

oh and you could prune JR's post number too!!!

How come the two highest posters have the least to say in each post! hmmmmmmmm :)

If we arent careful this will end up with as many pages as Mallets Mallet

what are you saying? ;)
In all honesty, any fora I have been involved in that 'prune' have not resulted in a reduction of posts...

Gals n Guys - just vote please and then leave the topic alone! All Julian wanted was our vote - then he knows that he can prune MM. I am pretty sure that removal of those pages will not affect your posting numbers as Julian can ensure that the numbers of posts remains static when he removes the MM.

just because some people want it cut doesn't mean we all do - so there's no need for "just get on with it" type posts - surely this topic is a place we can explain our reasons for our votes? I'm sure Julian will do whatever he sees fit once he looks here.

when my topic disappeared from the 'Test' area I didn't lose posts, so I think you can all rest easy on that score.

Does it desperately matter if you lose a few posts?

So far as I can tell, deleting posts (yourself, or using the moderator's tools) reduces your post count. Pruning them automatically or using the administration functions does not.

I don't know phpBB at all well, though, so it's possible I'm wrong.

Hmm. To prune or not to prune, that's the question...
