Perfect Leg!!!!

Post by Katharine »

I have just had my right leg admired and even had people called into the room to admire it!!!!

Yes, I have just had the check up after my varicose veins operation, and apparently it is the best healing they have seen for a long time. I didn't like to ask whether it was because I had to postpone the appointment by three weeks!

When you have a hip replacement they can't guarantee that your legs will be the same length afterwards. My surgeon was chuffed to be told by his boss that he had got it right- he wasn't half as chuffed as I was. I'm giving the hip a 10th birthday party next year

Well done legs all - as you know, I am a declared afficionado of legs and so on - jolly pleased that they all seem to be in such an admirable state.

Good to hear it, Katharine. Micro skirts from now on? (My 64 year old unmarried secretary used to call them "pussy-pelmets" whatever that means)

It was only ONE leg that they admired!!! I had previously been described as incompetent below the knee! (When my dearly beloved queried whether they had tested above the neck, he discovered I wasn't really that incompetent!!!)

It must have been something quite special as the Consultant left the room to go to find his underlings, including the one who had actually done the job. She was praised most fulsomely.

As I said before, I hope they checked the dates, I was supposed to go after 6 weeks but it is now 9!

So there is a room with you sat there showing your leg off, your dearly beloved sat there semi conscious, a consultant and a gaggle of spotty little oikes. That is one full room!

does this mean , Katharine, that you can only wear a miniskirt on one leg, whilst having to hide and indeed shuffle away its ignominious and unperfect partner ?

And would they have given you a special price to do a job lot of the both of them ?

This is starting to remind me of the Peter Cooke and Dudley Moore sketch of the Tarzan (?) audition. Glad your op was successful, Katharine. My mum had her veins done many years ago when I was small and we had to walk to Canterbury and back every day for ages for the exercise. The fact that my brother was in a pushchair riled me somewhat, that feeling of being hard-done-by has yet to wear off! We're having a bit of a month of leggy things. After mother fell and broke her ankle, my father-in-law is having a knee replacement done in November. Just as well we've got two of the darn things.

I have been very fortunate, no varicose veins (my mother's are legendary) and no osteo-arthritis, an excess of adiposity is my main problem at present but I'm working on it. Hence the time, I have 2am hunger pangs.
