There were some, though, even if you don't recall them. Charlie Rowlands moved from Maine A to be house captain of ColB in 1962/63 (that was the position I enquired about). And about three years earlier, Chris Slade moved from ColB to be house captain of ThB.

Must go to prove that I didn't 'move' in the upper House echelons !

C.S. Drake (Paddy) transferred houses twice. He went from Coleridge A to Barnes B in January
1946 having fallen out with Blamire-Brown. Lionel Carey, Senior Housemaster liked the look of him and when he married that summer and transferred to the Housemastership of Maine \B
which had a house attached took him with him to be House Captain,
Other boys who transferred thus of that era included J.L.A Lewis, Peele A to Barnes A, and M.C. Griffiths Col B to Mid B.
