Just a quick update on Louise today. She is due to have another chest x-ray tomorrow which will hopefully show that her pneumonia is clearing, however she does have a lot of pain from her pleurisy so is now having to have stronger pain killers. Once this is sorted and her temperature stabilises again we are hoping she will start to feel a lot better. I'll let you all know how the x-ray goes tomorrow.

Thank you, and please do keep us posted, Barnes Mum. There are people at work (University of Chichester) and at Church (St Peter and St Paul Rustington) who are thinking/praying for Louise and her family and who are asking me for updates - for which I am relying on you. Though I guess you will be busier now that the school is reassembling. I'm hoping that Louise has now turned the corner (though it will be some time before she gets back to school) and I pray that she was the only pupil so badly affected.

Fairly busy yes!!! We have 6 girls still unwell and not returning tonight. Not as bad as Louise though, thankfully.

Re: Swine flu - school closing for a week
Thanks for your concern. He was ill the week before the closure but not bad enough to go to the Health Centre. He was also a bit off colour last week but said he felt well enough to go back to school. He didn't have a temperature and was eating well. When we got back to the school he said he had sore throat and felt terrible.Consequently he wasn't allowed back. He has gone to stay with my mother as I won't get paid if I don't go to work and then there will be an empty coffer at fee paying time.I am worried my mum will get ill. Houseparents suggested I leave him at home and go to work and ring every hour . This is OK but I keep thinking about Louise and how easily it could turn into something nasty so I have selfishly opted for exposing my mother to the germs instead.Joy to the world.
