Re: Roger Allam in Radio Times
One of my favourite actors; I confess I'm extremely envious. He was several years ahead of me at CH, but I have a clear memory, which has stayed with me, of him singing "In the Bleak Midwinter" as a tenor in the choir when I was a treble. It made quite an impression, so I'm hoping I won't...

Re: What is CH for these days?
I would expect that the trip to Australia was a sports trip (rugby?) - the school have done a number of international sports trips over the years and my memory is that the children going fundraised for nearly all of it... Thank you, son. You are correct. Monumental amounts of fund-raising for the f...

Re: I.A.R. Christie, Lamb A 1956-63
Pop quiz: which family had the most brothers at CH? In my day, the Savages. 3 (or 4?). Also in your day 3 Farnfields. I was in Maine A in my first year with 3 Pratts (name not nature), Graham, Robin and Martin, and they had an older brother apparently before my time. There were also (3 I think ) Pr...

Both of the boys, David and Jonathan, went on to be prep school Headmasters, one in Dorset and one in Nottinghamshire, I think.

Re: Congratulations To Joe Launchbury
Got to feel sorry for Joe in that he is not really getting much of a look in this World Cup. I don't think any other country has the depth at second row that England does. Meanwhile let's hope England finish the job against Australia in the second half. I do feel he is the unluckiest player in Brit...

Re: IICSA UPDATE
Dear All I am applying to be a Core Participant This would bring CH into the lime light but I am not holding my breath. However I want to clarify something: The police have been able to charge 6 teachers over the period from 1969 to 2001. However, information provided suggests that activities of li...

Re: Bursaries Shmursaries
I've just received a letter from the proverbial Simon asking me for a contribution for a bursary to CH. He clearly doesn't keep up to date with these sites because otherwise he'd have discovered that I've been banned from the official CHOBA site by an uptight, haughty, professional PR woman who is ...

Re: The moon landing at CH
I know where I was... on a CH cricket tour in Holland. We played against an adult side whose members as part of their scientific work had stayed up all night. Consequently the CH side ran out as winners. Think I might have nabbed 4 of the easiest wickets of my career!

Re: Roger Martin - trial
Maybe I am on my own here but I don't like the tag team baiting Vilified has been subject to at all. He has answered some rigorous questions fully and expressed contrition. It should stop there. People rightly want transparency regarding the awful abuse that has blighted CH and to know why it was a...
