I am not going but Paul Maddren was my House Tutor in LHA and then also in PeB (1982-1984). I did not have him as a Chemistry teacher because in my year he taught Set 1 and I was in Set 6!

Hi! :) I haven't been on this forum for quite a while... but was wondering if anyone is going to the Science Day on 28th June? I'm planning on going but don't know of anyone else who's going... and am also wondering if anyone has any (affordable) recommendations of where I could stay? I'm coming ...

I would love to see it happen - because there is most definitely the need for it. I know matrons are supposed to be there as a kind of 'counsellor'... or someone to talk to if you need to. This is fine for the more 'minor' problems pupils have, such as homesickness. Some pupils' issues require ...

This is a tough topic.

I think that all bullying is fundamentally wrong. I also believe that at the heart of bullying is an underlying issue within the bully's life/history. Things are always more complex than they appear on the surface. Of course, that is never an excuse to bully/abuse another ...

well I'm certainly considering going back to teach as a Physics teacher, should they need one after I've finished my masters degree!

I was never a good sleeper and I would always be up and dressed before the rising bell. I would often be downstairs in the common room, giving matron and Mrs Buckman the fright of their life when they did their rounds!!! :lol:

ha! Actually I did... but that wasn't the reason I did my Grecian's twice... it was pretty complicated.

yeah, it could have been... I just remember hearing about it.

If it was the Grecians of 2000, they were a year above me - I did my Grecians twice.

I remember when the year above (I think) stole a sheep from one of the surrounding fields and dumped it in quad. There was talk of that for ages after!
