Re: eBay photo of 1970s cricket team
Thank you. That is most interesting. The photo was taken and included in the monthly edition of one of the cricket magazines, probably The Cricketer, in 1969. I still have my copy....somewhere!

Re: Howard Holdsworth Many Happy
Many thanks, Andy.

Re: CH Colours
"You had to be a certain age (16, I think) before you could get school colours, which proved embrarrassing in the case of John Snow, who scored a century (normally an indisputable criterion) at the age of 15 (an unusual age to be in the 1st XI in any case). I think the age rule was put aside in ...

Although you are anxious, do not panic.

He has fallen on his feet since Wasps collapsed and been snapped up by Harlequins. Smith, Dombrandt, Care, Louis Lynagh, Joe Marler. You couldn't have picked a better team Joe. You would know I was a Quins fan wouldn't you.

Re: Paintings in Chapel - Frank Brangwyn
I am a bit shocked to discover that the artist behind the murals was celebrated to the extent of getting a 'knighthood', the paintings are embarrassingly awful and I had assumed that the Foundation was scraping the barrel and skimping on the artist by hiring a journeyman. It just shows how early ...

Re: Wiki is wrong! Launchbury
Last night I was watching the rugby and wondered what Joe Launchbury was doing now. I looked him up and was surprised that Wiki has him going to a school in Devon. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Launchbury
I’ve never corrected Wiki, but I’m sure others here have the skill to do so.

All I can add, Andy, is that she stayed in Maine for c 20 years. Others might have a clearer idea.
I recall her as being firm and kind. All those bl**dy socks to fold!

Re: staff accommodation
Accommodation is allocated according to circumstance.
Thanks for the response. What would be the likely arrangement for a family of three with a 7-year-old? Mostly I'm wondering if the living arrangements are conducive to a long-term stay. Or are they more comfortable for young single people ...
