Re: 2014 Admissions
As I understand it bursary level doesn't come into it at this stage, the bursary juggling starts after the residentials. When our ds went through the initials in Nov 2009, my dh had been made redundant so at the time we would have been eligible for a 100% bursary. The system has changed somewhat sin...

Sorry typo!
Mind you when ds did the residential in 2010 they had over 250 kids invited, now it's only 200? That's a massive drop in bursary places!

Re: 2014 Admissions
We said to both of ours that getting through the first round was a massive achievement, whatever happens from here on in they will know they made it to the final 350! Mind you I'm also wondering what I will do if dd follows her brother, empty nest syndrome or what!

Re: 2014 Admissions
Just got our letter, through to residentials, I am so relieved! Big smiles in our house today, can't wait for DD to get home so we can tell her.
Good luck to everyone else sitting on tenderhooks, hope you get good news too.

Re: 2014 Admissions
We had the afternoon session, ended up requesting a late pick up for Ds, so we didn't spend the entire day driving up & down the a281! All done now, just got to get through the next two weeks until results. Dd so desperately wants to follow her brother, she was nervous going in & her usual n...

Re: Sitting in CH carpark quietly panicking!
DD came out feeling ok, but she's always fairly non committal so who knows! She was quite nervous going in. Just got to play the waiting game now.
Pinkhebe, shame we don't know what the other looks like, we could have said hello!

Sitting in CH carpark quietly panicking!
DD is currently doing her entrance exam (1st stage). While we are sitting in the car! It's even more important to her. She so wants to follow her brother to CH, I'm going to be feeling slightly sick until we get the results!

New Sports Kit - question!
Has anyone yet ordered any of the new sports kit from Sussex Uniforms? DS has rather anoyingly grown out of all his kit (after two years - how very dare he)! Looking on the website and at their sizing info I'm just wondering if they are true to size or come up small or large? Any info would be great...

Another question regarding sibling entry!
Does anyone know if when considering a sibling entry, they look at the older child and how they are performing at CH?

Re: THE FUTURE OF CH
As a current parent at CH, we have watched the increase in full fee payers since our DS started 2 years ago. During the summer holidays last year his house was re-gigged to take 2 extra full fee paying boarders. I assume the other houses did the same. On another note, we were told when we first appl...
