i won a first at the flower show this year for my apple and lavender jelly. Its an interesting taste, not for everyone. I like it on cheese sarnies and my hubby likes it on his morning toast. I've also made tomato chutney for the first time. I love living in the country!

daughter the first has also given me the impression that prep is a very important part of the day.

my daughter's first 'active' is cooking. She wants to do well at the village flower show. She'll be entering chutneys before the year is out!

We were told level 5 and thats what we achieved. We were on the waiting list. Bel thoroughly flunked her 11+ so we thought we had no chance of her getting in here, but she did it. no texts but we had a couple of emails. They were really very short though and DD knows my email addy off by heart. I reckon i only got a postcard because i made her stamped addressed ones and made her swear to send one within 2 days!!!

we had chicken balls in sweet and sour sauce in honour of Bella leaving - its her favourite! by the way... we went to the boars head for lunch. Burger was magnificent, bangers and mash very nice, cheeseboard was a complete ripoff. Staff were friendly and helpful, the place was nicely done up and the prices were a bit steep. It opens at 12. Hope that helps. x
