Anyone know when it is due out or has everyone got theirs and mine got lost in the post?
My cheque was cashed some time ago so I know they received it.

I believe it's due to be posted during January, but I'm not sure exactly when.
It's already published, as the school took it home end of last term, but it takes some time to get it packaged and posted to a distribution list.

Nothing as good as having a clear out, Sport !sport! wrote:Slightly off topic, but having a clear out and have The Blue for June 2004 and a Summer 2005 (or the other way round, can't remember) to give to a good home, otherwise it's the recycling bin....

Just posted this elsewhere but...
The Old Blue is coming along nicely, thank you, and if all goes to plan, which I doubt, should go off to the printers next week.
We will then be in the hands of the printers, binders, envelope stuffers and delivery agents, over which we have little control although we do our best to chivvy them along.
Given that we have a write up on the Carol Concert, and intervening assorted celebrations, we are still on track for the magazine to hit the doormat before the end of January.

The Old Blue is with the printers in its final format.
It has to be printed, bound with a separate cover, similar to the school Blue, sent to the distribution company and despatched.
Estimated despatch date is towards the end of next week, so that it should hit doormats before the end of January, which is within our desire to issue in January.
56 pages plus cover, we now await comments, both negative and positive.

Wonderful! Congratulations John.
Paddy never had to face the flak as you will have to on this forum! I suggest a new email address, a long holiday on some remote tropical island, an endless supply of your favourite tipple and a pretty lass upon your knee. That should help you to remain oblivious to any criticisms until the time comes to prepare for the next issue.

If you have seen the school Blue, the Old Blue will appear very similar but with sections appropriate to the Old Blue community.
As you probably know, the closer you are to a project, the less you see of it's imperfections.
Working from Spain with a someone located in Sussex, setting it up in Quark for Apple, reviewing and modifying it on my pc with Quark for pc's, with which I am not familiar and formats slightly differently to Apple, liaising with Sara to make sure we have got as much in as we can, has all been quite a learning experience. Hopefully the final product pleases some of the fickle Old Blue population.
I now have to persuade my colleagues that we can put a pdf on the Association web site, after the magazine has been distributed, and then see if we can reduce the print run for future editions.
I have had the builders in for the last few days so I will rescue my hard hat and only occasionally appear above the parapet, chad style.
