Anything that doesn't fit anywhere else, but that's still CH related.

Well, as one who obviously IS in Spoony's sights on this one, I suppose that I should point out the 'crucial point' that he's missing - it's a little thing called 'work'.

After university I didn't have a job, my girlfriend (now my wife) was offered a job in Horsham, so we moved. At the time unemployment in Scotland (where we were living) was high, whereas here it was quite low (this was when Maggie was at the height of her powers).

Now, though, Spoony's post has set me thinking. Perhaps I should ignore Horsham's location, being handy for London (rather useful for those who work in the music business)/South Coast/countryside/Gatwick Airport, its good transport links, the quality of life (markets/shops/restaurants/pubs/relatively low crime and unemployment) and the fact that I have some good friends here, and consider moving to somewhere slightly less 'sad', because someone who may or may not have known me some 30 years ago is still losing sleep over it.

I suppose I could always consider a move to Amersham, as I once saw a 'legs and bum' picture (cor!!!) posted on the internet by a lady who lives there.

It is a VERY old picture.

BTW do I count? After all Amersham is 'only' 28 miles from Hertford.

You'd better ask Spoonbill - he may think it better that you move to, say, Manchester.

Re, Hertford, though, it does seem that most Hertford Old Blues try to get as far away from the place as possible!

I wonder why that could be?

I did go to Uni in Birmingham.

Then to Sheffield for nearly 3 years, back to Brum and then to London for work before moving here when we started a family.

Richard's got a point - Horsham is actually a great place to live for some...

Is Reigate too close?

Probably......

Spoonbill's probably imagining some sort of 'exclusion zone', inside which it's not suitable for Old Blues to live.

You'd better have a word with your father, too. He must be pretty high up in Spoony's pantheon of 'sad people'.

Have you noticed how Spoonbill starts these threads then disappears?

Surely you're not suggesting that there might be some 'link' between these characters??
