Very sad to read in the latest CHOBA newsletter that James Pitcher, BaA, PeA, 69-75, has died.
James was one of my contemporaries in Peele A.
I didn't know him that well, but I do recall that he had a fine sense of humour, had a good moral compass and was gifted at rugby.
I have no idea what James did after CH, so if anyone knows, please reply to this post.
Meanwhile, RIP James.

Yes, I remember him from Barnes A, though I also have no idea what he did after school. Sad news.

I also recall James from Barnes A. Initially we didn't see eye to eye - more eyeball to eyeball due to an incident in the lav ends where I objected to him throwing a glass of cold water over me in the bath. This resulted in a formally arranged duel of fisticuffs the following morning, when I discovered that he boxed, and I didn't... Honour was satisfied as I was eventually dragged off him, bleeding profusely from the nose, without having landed anything on him, but I think it was agreed I had acquitted myself well. We duly shook hands.
I think he was a good scrum half? I think he came from Odiham.
Incidentally I discovered that James Pitcher, local landowner/developer near me in Beaconsfield was his cousin - found out while he was extracting an escapee cow from our garden. Small world.
