Is there still an old copy of the ancient school rules anywhere?
There used to be a copy on the notice board in Leigh Hunt (B I think) - it included things like "a regular bowel action is encouraged" along with other savoury ideas!

Almost certainly in the museum - it's a fantastic web of information with loads of stuff that you'd never imagine was there. I recently got a family friend back in contact with a relative [who's a old blue] with whom she'd lost contact, by simply going to the museum and looking for the name, and all the details were there. Much easier than at Kew!
It's sad that the museum's not used so much anymore, almost all the outside staff have left and it's just teachers who have a interest, who look after it now.
