I can't see any snowflakes (but I suppose it has turned much warmer today).Mrs C. wrote:I love the snowflakes!!
Neither can I, Mary. Perhaps they were an aberration this morning?MKM wrote:I can't see any snowflakes (but I suppose it has turned much warmer today).

I can see them!
David - is there any possibility that the fault is your end? I have accessed the new forum on 3 different computers (Mac, Apple laptop and at work where it is a Word network system) and I have not had any of the problems you describe. So far I have only sent 2 PMs, one the person has not visited since I wrote it, the other got through correctly and I had a response.sejintenej wrote:Sorry folks but it is like the new versions of other major programs - even Yahoo and Netscape mail give you the opportunity to use a faster, older version which this doesn't.
I don't lnow about snowflakes - I would be happy not to get the black screens between asking for new posts and getting then, I would be happy not to have the time to get a cuppa after every post whilst it goes up and as for the total loss of ability to originate PMs and the incorrect addressees (according to PM) on the list of members ..............and I would be happier if 80% instread of (?) 8% of my posts went up.
sheeeeeeeeeeesh - they call it progress.
Not your fault Julian - it is what they give you .
David
Of course it could be; I don't have the luxury of alternative computers to try. I am using the same PC, with the same software, the same OS (Windows XP 5.1), virus checker (AVG) firewall (ZoneAlarm), software (IE and Firefox (tried both), AdAware and Spybot (neither running in background), I have about 48% of hard disk free (everything is cut to the bone) and 128mB of Ram which I know is towards the lower end of desirable**. All this is being run by ethernet cable via a 2009 state of the art machine using broadband. In fact nothing whatsoever changed except the Forum software.Katharine wrote:
