OK, not intentionally, but I just got this error message while trying to open a PM:

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Too many connections in /.../mysql.php on line 48

Warning: mysql_error(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /.../mysql.php on line 330

Warning: mysql_errno(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /.../mysql4.php on line 331
phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database

(Edit by JT:- Thanks for error messages. Edited for specifics to prevent hakers.)

Then when I tried a second time I got this one:

phpBB : Critical Error

Error doing DB query userdata row fetch

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 2013 Lost connection to MySQL server during query

SELECT u.*, s.* FROM
Line : 247
File : /..../sessions.php

It's not just you, Ruth, I have had such messages today - first time ever!

then when I reloaded the main page I had to login in again but it said I'd read the PM.

Sorry for posting in separate messages but I thought it would be clearer.

Seems to be working ok now. Others have reported forum slow today, maybe it's just Mondays.

These are generally error messages thrown out by the forum server when incoming/outgoing traffic is exceptionally heavy and it is having problems coping with it all !
