Yes - on the whole, the Shorter Oxford Dictionary seemed to indicate that the insertion of a "u" between the "t" and the "s" was to be preferred as being the more correct form. But what is the absence of the odd "u" (twice repeated in as many words) between friends?englishangel wrote:And what did it say? two rs and two ss - embarrassingly
Tsh! Tsh!
(By the way, I have just checked the spelling of Tsh! Tsh! in the Shorter Oxford Dictionary)

Or the Mongolian nose flute. You'd never want to use the shared school one, would you? Espesh after an epidemic of nasal outpourings, which West Sxs finest pharmaceutical engineers never managed to fix. We were guinea pigs for 'flu tablet trials weren't we ..?DavebytheSea wrote:Yes ................. of course. Just thought this thread needed reviving.DavebytheSea wrote: However, I note that on Sunday 18th June, the school are playing cricket against the OBs and that the Malcolm McKelvey Memorial Service is to be held in the Chapel at 2:30 pm, so there may be a sort of mini OB day then, I suppose. I see also that the Peele Festival of Arts is to be held in the theatre that evening and as there is a rumour that this may have the merest hint of Kernow this year, that might be an excuse for this OB at least to be present on that day.
Does anyone think that an 'unofficial' get-together should happen on June 18th.?
