I'm sorry, I'm really intruiged. Where do the middle ladies come from and where do they go? What I mean is, are they like assistant matrons, do they live/work in that matron-y bit in-between the A side and B side of houses? I just can't imagine it that's all.

Yes, they sort and fold and distribute our uniform in that little bit between A and B sides. They don't live on site generally (??).
