I am afraid not, Chinese take aways in UK are nearly all from Hong Kong and therefore the staff only speak Cantonese!

I think I read on some thread here that Spanish had been dropped completely.

I don't think Spanish has been taught at CH recently apart from some part time Spanish lessons...

During the academic year 2003-2004, I had part-time lessons with Ms. L'Arrivee who left that year. Seeing as I had just returned from Central America, where I had been living for the past three years, I didnt have a problem getting an A* at the end of the year - I don't know how the other 10 candidates did. I never went to the lessons except to do the necessary coursework and oral presentations.

There is only one person currently doing Spanish of any kind, and she is only doing a AS. I have to say, I turned it down because I suspected I would not be able to do it without adequate teacher support (of which there is none now.)

It is a shame, as Spanish is the 3rd most widely spoken language in the world....
