Unfortunately I'm drinking more lemsip than tea, as I'm laid up with a chest infection.
definitely the wrong time for it
Must have a touch of heatstroke after the gorgeous weather today Was not Gemma that has been poorly I realised, but 'Lightbulbbroken', so apologies for error and hope that you are on the mend.
Fresh ginger, hot water and honey is very good for the throat - preferable to lemsip I reckon!

I'm a bit cautious about those remedies after seeing one report that some of the ingredients are alleged to counter the effects of other ingredients. In essence, and as I understand it, this (and similar remedies) simply counteradct the symptoms rather than "curing" the affliction.

I use lemon juice, honey and hot water. Honey is an antiseptic (some nurse / SRN / Matron will write to say it is antibacterial or whatever but you know what I mean) and for some reason lemon clears the nasal passages.
Now the killer claim. For the past couple of years SWMBO has had the juice of half a lemon with a level teaspoon of honey and hot water to nearly fill a small mug, first thing every morning. Even I have to admit the wrinkles have disappeared despite her being an OAP. I don't know why, but it simply works
What happens if a politician drowns in a river? That is pollution.
What happens if all of them drown? That is solution!!!
Congratulations on your Academic Buttons, Gemma! Straight As, I assume.
When you placed your first posting on this thread, I bet you did not even know what a Grecian was. Today with straight As you have truly earned your buttons. Terrific!
I have a nephew, a niece, a brother-in-law's nephew, and a nephew's girlfriend, all of whom got straight A's at A level. Nephew going to do medicine at Liverpool sponsored by the Army, niece taking a gap year as she was predicited 2As and a B so didn't get in to do medicine so will try again next year, don't know about the others.

Hi Guys!
I know it has been absolutely ages but I have been so busy with work and school that I havn't had much time, and even then, I suppose posting on here wasn't my top priority in my little spare time
Anyway! I just thought I would say Hi to everyone and just say that I got an offer from Oxford if anyone cares, not that many people probably do, but hey..
Congratulations Gemma - which College? You, of course, had the choice of all unlike me in the dim and distant past! You'll love it there too, I'm sure.

My uncle was Rector of Iffley when I was at Oxford not only is the church amazing but so is the Rectory. I think the original Rectory has now become Post-Grad accommodation for Christchurch and the present incumbent lives in somewhat newer accommodation.
Mary - I too thought of Gemma hearing that this morning!
