I know what you mean - we booked a weekend in London to show the kids the sights etc and lo & behold all this terror stuff kicked off the day before we were due to go The trip went well but it didn't stop me worrying about what might happen.cj wrote:Ithe whole thing makes me very nervous and a bit scared to be honest. I can't figure out how someone can qualify to become a doctor (if they actually did), and yet make such a pathetic attempt at 'terrorism'.
I also felt safer in London than I do in Sydney, as the security here seems to be non-existent, unlike the 30years of dealing with it in the UK. Hopefully I'm never proven right or wrong. Whilst it may not stop these small incidents, I'm fairly certain that the chances of successfuly carrying out a major attack in the UK are almost nil.
