Which do your prefer? I personally HATE Xmas and never ever use the word.

I hate Winterval more.
And people who try to wangle discounts because "It's Christmas" when actually it's still Advent
and stupid perfume adverts on the telly
and people who put up decorations on 28th November
and silly baby outfits with reindeer antlers
and that bl**dy Ocado advert on Classic FM.

No apology needed! There are many things for us to get grumpy about at Christmas and 'Xmas' is one of them.

I'm with Debbie on this one...

some of our neighbours have had an inflatable Tigger with a Christmas hat on in their front garden since the 11th November

Oh Plum... didn't you know that Gabriel appeared to Tigger and the heffalump in the Hundred Acre wood to warn him not to eat the wise men as they passed through on their way from the Orient.

Maybe it took them so long because they were looking for the woozle!

In my book Xmas means Kiss-mas (which is not necessarily a bad thing!). I am now starting to ignore what everyone else is doing and just carrying on with my own little thing. The mothers at our pre-school and toddler groups are getting agitated because they can't remember all the names of the children in the class for their Chrissy (hee hee) cards. At 3 years of age???????????????????????? Do me a favour folks and get a grip. The look of abject horror when I said that I didn't know and, frankly, didn't care because Cora is only 3 and we don't do cards was highly amusing. And hugely liberating.

Any idiot can deal with a crisis. It takes a genius to cope with everyday life.

I think you are a wise, if somewhat etymologically challenged, girl
