Very slightly off topic, but last night I watched a TV programme, 'Inside The Court of Appeal'. One of the appeal applicants was a certain Mr. DOBBIE.

Hey-Ho. Keeping the name in the spotlight?

I think it was actually Dobby as in the house elf.
My therapist says I have a preoccupation with vengeance. We’ll see about that.

You said on this site that as a barrister that you never asked a question to which you didn't already know the answer.

Correct. It comes back to the fact that you are an apologist and will do all you can to smear the unity of former pupils in their horror at what has happened.

Feel free to tell me I am wrong.

Allow me. You’re wrong. Borderline hysterical in the above post. You’ve done good on this site but considering your background should know better.

Tim’s offering a valuable perspective in a measured way. I wouldn’t want him to feel hounded from this site again by such bluster.

He was being offensive, as he knows, which is why I invited him to say what he was insinuating.

There are many facets to omerta.

We cannot know it is a valuable perspective until we know what that perspective is.

OK - I admit it. I've had to look 'omerta' up.

Very Godfather-ish

So returning to Dobbie, his friendship group, and so on. Who were Dobbie's friends on staff? Who was his 'manager'? Who was Dobbie associated with? Did teachers have annual reviews and pay increases? Who did Dobbie manage? I also found myself wondering about his writing and academic output - does anyone have information of what Dobbie's 'intellectual interests' may have been?

I was wondering whether a teacher would have been asked to leave by a manager or superior teacher (or the headmaster) or whether he or she would have submitted their resignation to move on (if that is what happened in such a circumstance). Does anyone know?

Nonsense. I was insinuating nothing against anyone here.
JP sensibly looked up the meaning of the word, which you, RB, already knew.
I don't understand your problem.
