All seemed to go well, apart from the fact his breeches were far too small - it's a long walk to wardrobe from Peele!
They all looked so smart

I really hope it all went well for you all.
Yes, PinkHebe, a LONG walk from Peele to Wardrobe.......a pretty long walk from Peele to anywhere actually!!
Can I echo Lonleymom's words about using our shoulders to cry on. Please post anything you feel like and don't worry about feeling daft or the 'only one'.

Mrs C - I popped into the tuck shop - but you'd popped out!
At the moment I'm feeling quite calm, my 8 yr old is playing up though, something quite out of character for him.
But a big thank you to everyone on this forum for your help and advice over the last year, it feels quite surreal that he's actually there now.

I became a mon in the Lower Sixth so I was on there for both my LVI and UVI years.Katharine wrote:How did you manage that Jo, you weren't there early enough to be a Junior Mon and a Senior one, I think there was an Alison .... (can't remember) who was a Junior Mon in 5s, came into 6s and then returned to 5s when Junior houses were abolished and then became a Mon.Jo wrote:I know very little about the Horsham houses but I decided Barnes B was my favourite after discovering 5s Mons Board there (from Hertford, with my name on it - twice ).
Sorry to hijack the "first day of term" thread - glad it all seems to have gone well

I've been thinking of you all and remembering both sides of the parent leaving and child starting experience.Jo wrote:I became a mon in the Lower Sixth so I was on there for both my LVI and UVI years. How things changed Jo, in my day your name would have been there the year you were made Mon and that was it!

Best of luck to her today, and all the other little ones x
