calling Matron!

Help!! I'm in a bit of a panic as I've got an interview as a boarding matron (non residential). I have zero experience, apart form having a teenage son at boarding school, so I'm not quite sure why I've been called :?

Anyway, does anyone have any views on what makes a good matron, and any other advice?

I think I need a lie down

I think you should try asking your teenage son!
Good luck, I hope the interview will go well!

Wow - very exciting, and good luck at the interview.

Is it for a boys house, or for a girls house?

It's a co ed school, but the boarding house is boys, 13-18.
I wouldn't have a clue about girls! I'm so nervous, because I would really like this job. (even though the term times aren't the same as CH  and I would never be able to drop my son off at the beginning of term :( )

That was a really hard interview - I think my lack of experience clearly showed! Never mind (school wasn't half as nice as CH  )

la la la. they didn't offer me the post starting in Jan, but were so impressed that they have offered me a position in another boys house starting in sept. Which is much better timing for me as ds2 will have started yr 7 and I needn't worry so much about childcare :wine:
