Sixth form entry assessment

Post by lillydoe »

My daughter has applied for the sixth form entry in 2013, but we are unsure of what the assessment task means
''Students will spend half a day at the School in November/December and will sit an assessment task which requires reading, absorbing and analysing a set of papers in order to make a report with recommendations. Students need to select in advance whether they will sit a sciences or humanities based assessment task. Following the assessment task, candidates will be interviewed.'' Could anyone elaborate on what actually has to be done in this task as we are clueless
Thank you

Hi

I'm sure that it will be 'stuff' that your daughter has done before, possibly just described using different terminology - perhaps you could ask the school for a look at past papers (um, if this isnt the first time for 6th form entry), and/or ask the teachers at her current school for advice?

Good luck :)
