Re: Parental Contribution
I find all this so frightening...
It's great that our contributions for this year are so low, but what about next year and the year after and the year after....
How can someones contributions go from zero to three grand with no change in circumstances....

Re: Parental Contribution
Will keep you posted. Have been through the facts and figs this eve and can only conclude that - to give ONE of our three children a chance of an unusually good education, we have to sacrifice the chances of the other two. We cannot do that.

Good luck with the Counting House today. xx

Re: Parental Contribution
Merci Beaucoup. No more news to report - Mrs Y v.helpful as usual so we are trying to work out why the assessment is so much higher. Hopefully will know more on Monday. Hope all those of you who haven't heard get better news.
Re: Parental Contribution
Sad to hear the news - we are in a similar position in waiting for definitive news of a scholarship for son to get on a brand new specialist maths programme which I was pointed in the direction of by my old CH Housemaster after son failed to get an offer from CH. Trouble is the programme is so new it won't exist until this September and so the finances are also still being tweaked - he loves it but if the scholarship can not be stretched to fit our needs we cant afford it (even after selling body parts and other children). We have to keep enough to be able to do things like pay for daughters brownies and rugby club subs at least.

Re: Parental Contribution
Blimey, it's not good enough, is it...
Re: Parental Contribution
Me three!
I like the way the school asks us for a terms notice or pay a terms fees in lieu when even after the end of term we don't know whether we can afford the fees.
There's got to be a better way of doing it.
